On Dec. 17, 2019, The Heritage Center in Morristown, Tennessee, honored faithful volunteers Ron and Bevoline Willis during the resident Christmas party.
Associates presented the couple, who have been volunteers at The Heritage Center for 24 years, with a plaque, a vase of flowers and a light-up glass angel. Residents took the opportunity to express their thanks as well.
“They have been a huge part of our facility,” said Victoria Bowen, activity director. “They have given their time, love and dedication to our residents with their visits. They have become family not only to our residents but to our staff as well.”
The Willises helped with church services on Sundays and would visit and pray with residents during the week, sometimes two or three times a week. They are unfortunately unable to continue to volunteer due to health issues.
"We are going to miss their smiling faces and the joy they brought to everyone in our building,” said Bowen. “We are so thankful that this sweet couple has shared their time and love with our residents, and we pray they have a peaceful retirement.”
